One of my favorite Thanksgiving season things is the abundance of pumpkin. You could cook so many delicious things with it: soups, pastas and, of course, pumpkin pie.

Classic Pumpkin Pie recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin pure pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon  ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. In a large bowl mix eggs, brown sugar, pumpkin, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, maple syrup, 1/4 cup heavy cream and salt until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust and send to oven for 60-65 min.
  4. Remove pie from the oven and cool down to room temperature.
  5. Serve with whipped cream on top (optional).
